Filled with history, the Island of Rhodes has plenty to explore. This beautiful island is known for its beach resorts, ancient ruins and remnants of its occupation by the Knights of St. John during the Crusades.
Discover the mountainous northern, non-touristic side of Rhodes Island from West to East, far away from mass tourism and crowded places. Be introduced to the natural beauty of Rhodes' mountains and experience the best panoramic views around. Begin your adventure at the cruise pier where your local tour guide will pick you up in a 4x4 Jeep.
Drive to the east side of the island, making your way to Kolimbia Village where you will begin to familiarize yourself with your beautiful surroundings. Make a stop for coffee or tea and some refreshments before your real adventure begins.
Now that you have had a break, you are ready for some real exploring. Following an old German-Italian war route, your driver/escort will provide you loads of historical information concerning the area and the local lifestyle as you pass through small villages, past monasteries and chapels. These hidden, off-road paths are dense with vegetation and full of natural beauty, taking you to places that only a four-wheel vehicle can access.
As you continue traversing Rhodes you will reach the small, traditional village of Kitrinia, considered one of the most beautiful communities in Rhodes. Stop for your delicious lunch in a charming local tavern in the village square where you can relax under plateau trees.
Fully refreshed, you will continue the tour on an easy, comfortable paved asphalt route back to your ship and the pier area with your camera filled with lifetime memories.

Mr. Miller is the former Executive Vice President and Chief Development Officer for Abercrombie & Kent, the World's leading luxury travel company. In that role, Mr. Miller was responsible for contributing to Abercrombie & Kent's international growth through the development and acquisition of tour products and travel experiences around the world with a specific focus on cruising and land based experiences. Prior to joining Abercrombie & Kent, Mr. Miller held a variety of executive positions with Royal Caribbean International and Celebrity Cruises for more than a decade. These positions included Vice President of Guest Sales & Service, Vice President of Brand Development, and Vice President of Onboard Revenue (which included shore excursions). Mr. Miller also led Celebrity Expeditions, a collection of outstanding and unique tours around the World.
Michael Bonner
Mr. Bonner has over a decade of experience working in the cruise industry in a variety of roles for both Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. and Viking River Cruises. Most recently, Mr. Bonner was the Chief Operating Officer for The Scholar Ship, a Royal Caribbean program aimed at providing college students onboard educational programs in conjunction with enriching shore excursions around the world. Mr. Bonner also helped co-manage Viking River Cruises U.S. Operations, and he ran the corporate, strategic, and deployment planning functions at Royal Caribbean. While at Royal Caribbean, Mr. Bonner was responsible for forming Royal Celebrity Tours, Royal Caribbean's land-based tour operation in Alaska, which takes cruise passengers on multiple day tours through the interior of Alaska either before or after their cruises.
